Melania Trump Gardening Shirt Balmain

"Woman of the people" isn't exactly Melania Trump's ethos.

he US First Lady is back with another extravagant wardrobe choice - a €1,000 flannel shirt by French fashion house Balmain - for a spot of gardening in the White House. She finished off her 'low-key' look with a pair of reasonably priced Converse shoes.

It's important to note that she was working alongside the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Washington, a club which "provides a safe, comfortable, and fun alternative to youth who would otherwise be home alone or on the street".

Her sartorial approarch is just the latest in a long line of out-of-touch tendencies she displays through her wardrobe, which is still fitting to that of a billionaire's wife instead of the first lady. During the G7 Summit in May, she stepped out in a $51,000 floral coat by Dolce & Gabbana and for her big move to Washington D.C. in June, she carried a €12,000 Birkin bag.

While has increased her public appearances and duties since moving to the White House, she still hasn't let go of the expensive tastes acquired during her 12-year marriage to Trump, when she lived in a gilded triplex in New York City.

The garden to which Melania was tending was created by former first lady Michelle Obama and after her husband's inauguration, Melania, originally from Slovenia, indicated she would be working on her green thumb.
